Polecat Mountain Farm is a small family farm
located in northern Granville County.
What started as a desire to provide our family with high quality,
chemical free food and humanely treated animals has grown into a business providing
the same wonderful products to you. All
of our animals are raised on pasture getting all the benefits of green grass,
sunshine and fresh air while improving the environment. Our animals are raised happy and healthy,
you can taste the difference in the meat and eggs. We use no antibiotics, hormones or growth stimulants. You are welcome to come out to the farm and
see the difference yourself.
We use methods and models that allow animals to express their instincts and behave just as nature intended them to. Chickens and turkey get to scratch and peck. Pigs get to root. Goats get to eat all the brush they want. We keep the animals in an environment where their natural instincts are beneficial.
By selling directly to you, the consumer we are growing relationships. We get to meet you in person to find out what your concerns are and what else you would like to see us do. We get to share our struggles and our triumphs with you. You get to talk directly with the person that raises your food. If you have questions, we can answer them.
